Dakines Heli Pack 20L ski and snowboard backpack is one of the best known and most sought after backpacks in their range. Specifically designed with skiers and snowboarders in mind it has some special features that will prove helpful for a day on the mountains.
It has external carry straps which allow you to attach your bulky gear – such as your snowboard or skis – to the outside keeping your hands free. It has a rescue whistle on the sternum strap and an extra front pocket for your smaller items. Inside there is a fleece-lined pocket for your goggles, an extra sleeve for your camelback/hydration system and a pocket for carrying a snow shovel or tool.
This bag can be used with a Spine Protector which can be inserted in to help absorb and displace hard impacts. The web belt and hip wings also help to divert weight away from your back and onto your hips.
